An exciting off-the-beaten track journey up and over the hills surrounding Split to pristine, gorgeous Lake Vrlika. Our expert guide and outfitter is waiting to take us on an easy 2 hour kayak adventure to enjoy the sights, sounds and marvelous air. After we're done, a wonderful picnic lunch, spread on a blanket on the shore with amazing wine, cuisine and conversation. On our way home, we'll stop in the charming hilltop village of Sinj for a visit to the award-winning Museum of the Alka and discover how a handful of Sinj citizens defeated 10,000 Turkish troops 302 years ago....and how every year since, this astonishing victory is celebrated with the Sinj Alka. We can also arrange a private tour of the Franciscan Monastery museum, opened by appointment only, to view a jaw dropping collection of completely intact Roman era statues (yes, complete with heads!) and other artifacts that any museum in the world would be thrilled to have.
