Your private speedboat is waiting for us right on Split's waterfront Riva. We'll motor out of Split harbor and then cruise down the Kastela channel to Kastel Novi, one of the seven Kastela (castles) towns along the coast here and enjoy good coffee, conversation, fresh croissants and pastry on the way! When we arrive in less than an hour, we will be picked up and driven to one of Dalmatia's most award-winning boutique wineries—cultivated by the same family for more than 340 years! Overlooking the bay, tasting glorious wine, our sommelier will introduce you to the rich heritage of viniculture in Kastela, the original birthplace of Zinfandel! With fresh-baked crusty bread, dry aged local ham (prsut), wonderful cheese and local olives, your wine-tasting includes two whites and two reds, plus barrel tasting of an extraordinary red that won't be ready til next year but promises to be “the wine of the decade“ according to the winemaker! We'll return by private car back to Villa Nepos mid-afternoon.
