Excellent Property and Management

My Travel agent booked this hotel for me. I really loved this place and will highly recommend it. It was very clean and perfectly located inside the old city, so there was no need to take taxis to get around town. Nives was very kind and helped us with our transportation. We stayed in the two bedroom suit, loved the the old brick walls and the anticts inside the suit.

Live like an emperor in Split!

Unbelievable! Live like royalty with art surrounding you. Perfect location perfect service. A gem! Nothing else like it. Would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks to Nieves for her welcome. Wish we could have stayed longer!

An Amazing Hotel situated within the Palace

Stayed here for 4 nights. Just amazing. 2 bedrooms with ensuites, large living area with kitchen, laundry. Just like a house. The apartment was filled with antiques, in artwork & sculptures. 
Breakfast was served @ a restaurant about 50m from the apartment & it was good.
The Palace is truly amazing & is the central point for everything worth seeing in Split.

This is an amazing small hotel. Wonderful apartments, superbly equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, two TV sets with free Netflix). Above all, very tastefully decorated with incredible genuine antiques bought from museums! It is also situated right next to the “peristyle “, I.e. the cathedral and main monument of this stunning city. The manager, Mr Auer, is extremely helpful and polite. All in all amazing . This is the first review I have ever written and I have been travelling extensively for several decades .

I booked a two bedroom apartment at Villa Nepos for four people when it had only one review and I was a little bit sceptical because it really looked too good to be true. As we found out when we arrived... it was even better than we expected!!!!! This is a very recently renovated building, the apartment is super super super beautiful, our manager was really friendly and welcoming, attention to detail is perfect, the location is unbeatable... we really felt like kings during our stay. The rooms are huge and each has its own bathroom, TV, hair dryer. The living room / kitchen area is really cool and spacious - there are dishes, glasses, and enough pans if you wish to cook...

My wife, daughter and I recently stayed at Vila Nepos. We were enthralled with the authenticity of the property's renovation. It was beautiful inside, with clean lines and design, yet retaining all of its historical significance. No detail was missed. The location could not be better, overlooking San Domino's Cathedral and square and its location within the Diocletian Palace. Christian, the property's General Manager, was extremely welcoming, charming and professional. Breakfast occurred in the plaza adjacent to the property and was equally commensurate to the whole experience. We felt completely at home, while staying in a place surrounded by 1,700 year old buildings. I was tempted not to write this review, for fear our secret would get out. However, it is truly something for others to experience. Congratulations to the ownership and artisans that completed the renovation of this great property.

Vila Nepos is convenienty steps away from the Silver Gate in Diocletian's palace. A perfect place to stay and base yourself while you visit in the old city and a relaxing retreat from the busy streets.

The quality of the villa apartments is 5 stars.This historic building has been newly renovated into four luxury apartments.It is in impeccable condition,beautifully decorated with authentic antiquities and artwork.Each apartment has a comfortable livingroom, modern kitchenette with top notch appliances, luxurious bedrooms and beautifully tiled bathrooms and even a washer dryer. Every detail has been thought of even down to the complementary gift of chocolates and fruit upon your arrival.
Chris the manager takes care of all your needs,can help with tours and restaurant suggestions. He is even more than a manager or concierge but became our friend as well.
We are so happy we found these luxury accommodations at the start of our three weeks in Croatia that we rebooked it again before our departure. Thank you Chis and Michael we highly recommend Vila Nepos .

Hidden gem in the old city!

Vila Nepos is a top of the line property and did not disappoint! This rave review is coming from a seasoned international traveler who frequently stays at 5-star properties. 

My friend and I (2 girls in our 30s) were traveling to Split, and many of the hotels were already booked. My friend stumbled upon Vila Nepos on Expedia. I was a little hesitant to book because of the lack of reviews, but staying here was the best decision we made on this trip!

Before we arrived, Nives assisted with booking airport transfers and confirming our arrival time to ensure our room was ready. When we checked in, Nives greeted us warmly and treated us like old friends. She did a full room orientation and pointed out the antiques throughout our room. The bathroom is recently refurbished with a modern shower and plenty of counter space and drawers for two guests. 

Nothing beats proximity, and this place is as close as it gets without the noise or crowds. Newly renovated and opened, super clean, comfortable beds, and there was even a washer and dryer in our room. The managers were very welcoming and helpful and even procured a last minute crib for some visiting friends. Romantic enough for couples yet comfortable and spacious enough for families with all modern amenities, but still with tons of old world charm. Can’t say enough good things, and can’t wait to return!
